I grew up near Hawkins, TX where my dad directs a camp for emotionally disturbed teens.  I have 4 brothers and I was home schooled until High School.  After graduating from Baylor in 2001, Pine Cove asked me to help start their new family camp, Crier Creek, in Columbus, TX.  For 10 years, I had the privilege of ministering with college staffers to families as the Crier Creek Director. In 2011, God called me out of camping to Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas TX as Teaching Pastor.  For six years I had the opportunity to preach the Word and lead at an alive and healthy church. In the fall of 2017, God moved us to First McKinney as Senior Pastor. Our church has a history and DNA of helping people live and love like Jesus. I’ve got so much to learn and I’m excited about the future.

Becca and I met on the ski slopes in Colorado in 2003 and we married in 2006.  God added Anna to our home in 2008 and Ellie in 2014.  These three girls are my partners in ministry.  I’m in the process of learning that for me it is not about prioritizing family over ministry, but focusing on God’s calling for our lives together as a family.  We are a team.

In our spare time Rebecca and I like to travel.  I enjoy hiking, golfing, football, reading about history and time with friends.
